Few weeks back...
 
We had the LLB Bloggers Hunt at the Launch of his designed pieces in store at COURTS!
 
It was fun and exciting!
 
We had to find the design pieces that were designed by LBB, i.e. under The House of Laurence
within a specified area at COURTS. If I'm not wrong.. there were a total of 15 items to be found. Top 3 Bloggers who managed to spot the most number of items within a specific time frame would stand to win special products from The House of Laurence.
 
Well.. I was lucky to came in second...
I found about 8-9 items.

Before the LBB Bloggers' Hunt.. Laurence was there in-person to share with us his experiences on his designs and what customers can expect from the designs.
 
 
It was very captivating to hear him talk.

THE TUNNEL 터널 《隧道惊魂》[Movie Review]

A group of friends are invited to the launching party of a luxurious resort in the mountains before it officially opens for business. The party takes place at the nearby abandoned coal mine that is being turned into an experience hall. Just when the party gets into full swing, a strange man barges in declaring that they will all get killed by the curse, scaring everyone away. They return to the resort to find the strange man watching them and end up killing him by accident. They decide to throw away the body in the coal mine, but get caught inside the dark tunnels facing the buried horrors within.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Well.. I was not scared by the movie through out..
u can expect some parts of the movie to be unrealistic. But its still a pretty good movie to sit back and try scare yourself. haha..

.. and the above Chinese character is "Yan".
Its actually the surname of the chef boss and its written in traditional Chinese style,

Almost every dish was very well presented and most importantly the food was nice!

Trick Eye Museum's 1st Year Anniversary in Singapore!‏

Trick Eye Museum Singapore will be celebrating first year anniversary on 19 June 2015. As a way of giving thanks to the tremendous support received over the year, Trick Eye Museum will be holding a special activity- “Grab the Gold Key, it’s not a Trick!’’ As the name suggests, Trick Eye Museum will be awarding 10 gold keys (3.75 grams each) to 10 lucky winners.

Standing at 8 foot tall and 12 foot wide, the highlight of Trick Eye Museum Singapore is ‘Giant Baby’ exhibit which is the largest sculpture created by Trick Eye Museum. 10 gold keys will be locked up at the cage held captive by ‘Giant Baby’ during the anniversary celebration. Everyone who visit Trick Eye Museum Singapore and shared a photo taken at the museum on their social media platform will each have a chance to pick a key out of a big pool of keys on that day. It will be the key which they can use for their attempt to open the cage. All successful attempts to open the cage will each bring home a gold key that is worth $300.

Light Up Your Life Run - First Running Event in Singapore Organized Jointly by an Animal Welfare Organization (SOSD) and Human Charity Organization (Assisi Hospice) on Sat, 3rd October 2015 (5-11pm)‏ !!!

On behalf of animal welfare organisation, SOSD together with Assisi Hospice will be organizing a charity run on 3rd October 2015 at the East Coast Park to raise funs for both organizations.
This unique charity run, titled, ‘Light Up Your Life Run’, is the first-of-its-kind organized jointly by an animal welfare organization and a human charity organization.

The non-competitive event is opened to the public. Categories for participation include the individual 5 km and 10 km run, as well as the 2 km dog walk (dog accompanied by owner). Participants and members of the public can also enjoy activities on the sideline, including a mini carnival that will feature various stalls and family activities at the event site.

The funds raised will go towards the operating expenses for both charities and supporting SOSD in implementing more community-focused initiatives such as the AAA programme that will benefit both people and animals and increase social awareness.

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO), America's favorite jeans brand, officially opened its first store at VivoCity on Friday, 19 June 2015. An exclusive Media Preview Party was held on 18 June for members of the media, fashion influencers and invited VIP guests, with more than 300 attendees throughout the evening. Joshua Tan and Tosh Zhang of 'Ah Boys to Men' fame also made celebrity appearances at the store to grace the event.

Spanning 4,000 square-feet, the flagship boutique featured rugged and natural building materials portraying the AEO concept that encourages you to "be yourself" and "live freely". American culture influences and varsity styles were also prominent in the design concept.

Guests were amongst the first in Singapore to browse and purchase the latest designs from the AEO Summer 2015 Collection. The new AEO store at VivoCity also featured an exceptional selection of denim washes and fit styles that left shoppers spoilt for choice. From cuts such as Slim Straight, Super Skinny and Original Taper for men to Jeggings, Skinny and Boy Jean for women, the AEO Jeans line was definitely the star of the show.

From 7pm, guests started arriving in high spirits and the VivoCity Basement 1 level was buzzing with activity as they explored the new boutique grounds. Models dressed in trendy outfits from the AEO Summer 2015 Collection interacted with the crowd, carrying fun AEO photo props and taking selfies with the guests.
 
 
Hosted by popular radio DJ Sonia Chew, the crowd was introduced to the AEO brand before AEO representative Mr. Kareem Gahed, Vice President of Asia Pacific & Global Country Licensing, addressed the crowd. Sonia then invited celebrities Joshua Tan and Tosh Zhang on stage for a quick chat.
 
 

To mark the opening of AEO's first boutique in Singapore, Sonia invited StarThreeSixty CEO Mr. Andy Chaw, StarThreeSixty Senior Vice President (Brands) Mr. Ken Liew and AEO representative Mr. Kareem Gahed to the stage front for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Throughout the evening, many guests gave kudos to the Summer 2015 Collection and were seen picking their favourite items to try on or purchase. Was the Book Launch of"Singapore in the 60s" by James Suresh& Syed Ismail

where James and his pals studied and grew up in.
 
It was my first time seeing James Suresh in person.. and he is a nice humble chap.
 
 
It will be a personal recollection of experiences seen through the eyes of the author James Suresh who grew up in a rented flat in Margaret Drive, Queenstown, one of the first housing estates in Singapore. The flats have since been demolished but the memories in the sixties will help the young to appreciate the past and the older Singaporeans to recall and reminisce about days gone by. Through comic illustrations and humorous anecdotes young readers will get a glimpse of what life was like for the Singaporean child, teenager or adult 50 years ago. The book will provide a view of life in the heartlands and focus on everyday events like schooling, recreation, family activities, community interaction, entertainment, and major events that took place in the 60s.

Some of the books written by him were the popular MR. KIASU, Kopithiam, On a Street in Singapore and When I Was In Uniform.......

A speech by Dr. William Wan, General Secretary Singapore Kindness Movement.
He wrote the foreword for the book. Speaks very well with the ability to influence.
 
After his speech it was supposed to be Mr Avtar Singh, Ex-Principal of Queenstown Primary School (1964 - 1983) to deliver the speech. But unfortunately, he was not feeling well, hence couldn't make it for the book launch.
 

 Here next we have Brian Richmond, Mediacorp Personality and former Queenstown resident who shared with us his childhood stories and how he found his wife-to-be Sue at Queenstown.
 
Last but not least, the MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC (Queenstown), Dr. Chia Shi Lu.
 
He sort of gave a wrapping up of the book launch and shared his point of view about this book.
Mentioning they will try to preserve the things that will be meant to be served as a memory.

Ah ah... this was sth I remember.. I remember my dad lived at the 4th storey at Tiong Bahru, Kim Pong Road and their balcony was very big and sometimes they have this container to put things inside and they lowered down the container to the 1st floor for someone to collect the item/s. Vice versa - to bring item/s up. Well.. there's no lift in those walk-up apartments that time.. Forgot to bring house key and lazy to walk-up those flights of stairs again.. Ask someone upstairs to carry out this Mission! ha..

 
 
More about the Author! 

James Suresh is the co-creator of Singapore's comic icon, Mr. Kiasu, Kopi Thiam and other comic creations, brings with him a comic approach to storytelling. His recent book 'On A Street in Singapore' was listed on the Sunday Times Best Sellers list for 5 weeks and was also awarded 2nd prize in the Reader's choice award organised by the Popular bookstore.
 
With the assistance of the Character and Citizenship Education Department at the Ministry of Education, 4,500 of the 5,000 SG50 sponsored books will find their way into school libraries with 10 copies of the book made available to each school library in Singapore.
 
The author intends to donate the remaining books to his former primary school, secondary school and other institutions where he pursued his studies.
 
Some of the illustrations and stories from the book are also being used by MOE's student Development Curriculum division as teaching resources for teachers as they engage students in lessons leading up to National Day.
 
50 copies of the books will be made available to the PUBLIC through social media contest to be announced at a later date.

Really great to have someone who actually penned down what was actually like in the past..
How our parents used to live and hence, learning their culture.
I'm not very old though.. ha.. but some of the illustrations in the book does bring back some images I experienced before. Maybe when I was very young around 1990s, Tiong Bahru housing still have not torn down, I used to visit my dad's old house to help him out with some chores. :)

But you would still need to engage the gear to forward or reverse and also step on the accelerator and brake. The only thing you do NOT need to do is to steer. The car will do the steering for you.
 
Notice there's another USB port in the compartment there. I like the idea that they have a few of these ports for me to charge my phone or wadever.. See.. my wallet fits perfectly well inside the compartment at the right side of the steering wheel. :)

Armrest for the back seat passengers with drink holders.
 
After the armrest is pulled down.. a flap can be pulled down to create a hole where you can reach ur hands to the boot. Main purpose of this feature is for you to insert long items like poles which the boot can't fit.

The keys are a little too big though.. but at least its not ugly! :P
 
 And this car is FAST! It comes with a 3-cylinder 12-valve DOHC Turbocharged engine.
Even when I'm not in the Sports Mode.. the car still feels pretty powerful.. so needless to say when it is in the Sports mode. It doesn't lag. In the sports mode.. when I really stepped on the accelerator and pushed its limit.. in a short time its already at 80-100km/h without me knowing. In another words, the car is very stable also. Thumbs Up Peugeot! I really Love the SpOrts of iT!

It actually benefits more to the passengers sitting behind, becos the front passenger and the driver couldn't really see wads on top when they are looking in front. But well.. I still like the feature! ;)

On the battle ground.. basically you have to trace your character to their respective coloured box in a way that you can attack the enemy along the way. Let's say for my character the red box I'm standing have to be traced to the red box with a circle inside. Got it!?

Don' t get it just download the game and you will get it! :P

Yes.. this was a SUPER MOVE of my character. In short we called it "SPECIAL" la! ha..

 After a few battles.. you are able to turn on the Auto-PlayON!
The game will just play and attack the enemies for you!
Its good when you wanna eat some potato chips! haha.. :P

Overall I think its a very good game to pass time! :)
