InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn in the bustling city of Bangkok, Thailand. Owned by TCC Hotels Group, the 184-room hotel marks the brand’s third property in the country and the second in the capital.
Just 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and with a central location in the Sathorn business district, Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn is in the heart of the city and close to all the major international corporate offices. Its prime location is also within walking distance to the vibrant Silom area, which is famous for its night shopping, dining and entertainment options.
Owned by leading Thai conglomerate TCC Hotels Group, it is the first Holiday Inn Expresshotel to be owned by the group, who also owns InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels under IHG’s brand portfolio.
Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn has direct access to commuter links with Chong Nonsi BTS skytrain just a short two minutes’ walk away, which will take travellers directly to destinations such as Asiatique, the Riverfront Night Market, Siam Paragon, one of Asia’s largest shopping complexes, EmQuartier, one of the latest luxury shopping complex, or the amazing Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). I personally feel that this is very important. It provides connectivity for the guests to the world. Even though there is WiFi within the hotel, but sometimes its easier to use a desktop for certain matters like checking important emails and flights. If there is problem with the guest's phone/devices connecting to the WiFi, he/she can just use the desktop provided at the lobby for the moment.
Speaking about WiFi.. Each guest would be provided with a password to log-in to the hotel WiFi.
Remember! You NEED TO LOG-IN with the password to get the Full WiFi Connectivity provided by the hotel.
After you have log-in with your password to the hotel WiFi network..
the Speed is undeniably FAST!

I like to open hotel rooms to see how it is like inside.. because every hotel room design is different and having that said.. you have that "Don't know what to expect" kinda feeling that makes it feel more like a surprise! haha..
Nice comfy and firm Queen size bed.
In this hotel they have it either a room with Queen size bed or a room with twin beds (2 single beds).
A Soft and Firm Pillow for you to choose from.
a side table that comes with a docking station to play your music and it can be used as an alarm clock as well.
Nice, Smart ALL-IN-ONE Open concept wardrobe with Safe, Mini Fridge and essential Coffee/Tea making area.
The kettle is clean and everything provided is placed neatly.
Toilet space is just right and everything is laid out neatly as well.
There are Hair Dryer, Shower Cap, Toothbrush with small toothpaste and a Sanitary Bag.
Only the things that you need would be provided for you.
Hence, everything there in the toilet is just right!
A note on the basin says..
SMART IS HAVING EVERYTHING YOU NEED.
SMART IS USING ONLY WHAT YOU NEED.
At Holiday Inn Express.. they have this STAY SMART idea.. in which they felt that travellers would spend much of their time outside than in the hotel room, be it for work or holiday. Hence, only the things that you need would be provided just the right amount for you.
A Power Showerwith athree-function massage showerheadand fluffy towelsto rejuvenate and refresh guests after a day of exploring the city.
That is all about the room...
Let me bring you to the explore the other areas of the hotel.
On the way out to the lift.. there are area like this with some paintings on the wall which illustrate the life of the people in Bangkok. "Making it seems like an Art Museum suddenly".. but its pretty cool.. I actually stopped by to see what the picture is all about. It also added liveliness to the interim of the hotel. Thumbs up! :)
So here's the lift lobby on my level.. 3rd floor.
Very nice simple and modern design of the grey wall with some paintings at the side.
In front of the lifts there are two big paintings as well..
Very well drawn by the artist and truly illustrate how the life in Bangkok is like! :)

I was here abit late.. almost 10 am. Hence, there weren't many people here already! :P
But its really a nice place to have a good hearty breakfast..
with the generous amount of glass window which makes the place very airy n fresh!

Over here I would like to share with you a bit more about this place,Sathorn and where you can go.. should it be useful to your itinerary in Bangkok, havin' your stay at Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn. :)
Sathorn is actually like a business district.. many white collared people populate around this area.
Sathorn Square is an office building which is very near to Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn.. walkable distance for about 5 mins.
Nearby beside the Sathorn Square there is this massage place called Health Land.
They are pretty popular in Thailand for their professional massage services and prices are reasonable. But different branch would have different rates. So do call to check it out and also book in advance to avoid disappointment. You can google the nearest Health Land to you and call from your hotel room to book. If not, just seek assistance from the hotel staff at your Holiday Inn Express hotel.. I'm sure they would be more than willing to assist you.
The Health Land Spa and Massage place is usually like this.. a nice white house.
I'm sure you will enjoy it.
You can also take a BTS Train from Chong Nonsi station to Siam station to check out this popular MangoTango which serves really good Mango Sticky Rice! Chong Nonsi station is just on the main road outside Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn.
It was really Yummy!!
IF you do NOT want to go somewhere too far to have some nice decent food.. you can check out this chicken rice stall just beside Holiday Inn ExpressBangkok Sathorn. It is inside an old hawker centre near the main road. It was really nice as well!
I enjoyed it very much for just about 40 baht with a nice bowl of soup and chilli sauce.
(40 baht is about S$1.60)
