Introducing the new Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire

With enhanced performance, redesigned chassis and luxurious interiors befitting of Toyota’s title - "King of MPVs"

12 June 2015, Singapore – Borneo Motors Singapore, the nation’s official distributor of Toyota automobiles, today introduced two luxury MPVs: the 3rd generation Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire in its line-up. Developed to incorporate luxurious saloon space with sophisticated interiors, the new Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire exude an unprecedented sense of refinement. The new designs have been raised to a level that further accentuates their individualities. The Toyota Alphard was developed with "luxurious and valiant" as its theme to convey a bold and distinctive luxury look and feel, while the Toyota Vellfire was developed with "bold and daring" as its theme to express a sense of drama and robustness.

The MPVs are available in three variants: Alphard Standard, Alphard Elegance and Vellfire Elegance.

Named after the brightest star in the constellation and derived from the Greek alphabet α (alpha), the Toyota Alphard is valiant and conveys classic elegance. Introduced in May 2002, the Toyota Alphard has since set the benchmark for exquisitely-styled exteriors with an unmatched level of opulence in its class.

In contrast to the Toyota Alphard’s elegance, the Toyota Vellfire is the bold and passionate twin, deriving its name from the words "velvet" and "fire". The Toyota Vellfire was introduced in 2008 and its distinctive, aggressive chassis caters to those seeking that extra edge and sense of adventure in their drives.

Established as Toyota’s true flagship MPVs, the All-New Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire promises improved handling, stability and ride comfort delivered by way of a compelling blend of refined engine performance, prominent exteriors and interior refinements.
